The future of work is being disrupted by technological advancements, shifting demographics, extended careers, reconfiguration of global supply chains, and more recently by a global pandemic with massive impact on businesses and individuals around the world. These disruptions have accentuated the inadequacies of traditional educational systems, and call for a new paradigm across the education and training landscape toward a model that is more agile, flexible, and adaptive, with multiple pathways for lifelong learning for individuals to acquire new skills and confidently navigate the uncertain future. Four key themes and five grand challenges for the Future of Education will be discussed.
