Nanophotonic phenomena are crucial for advancing the state of the art of biosensors in terms of portability, miniaturization, sensitivity, and ease of use, among other technological aspects. In this talk, we will discuss several simple but powerful (bio)analytical platforms based on nanophotonics with applications in point-of-care, as well as in portable devices and in vitro diagnostics.
