Drawing on a comparative study conducted by the International Association of University Presidents, this session examines university presidential leadership across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia/Oceania. Panelists discuss leadership purpose and attributes, pathways to the presidency, communication and collaboration, imposter syndrome, and models of privileged versus earned leadership, with a focus on the skills required to innovate and transform higher education institutions.
